Review:
When RayK's mom starts hinting that it's time for Ray to start dating again, he succumbs to desperation and tells her that he's dating someone. Which he's not. But she takes his words to heart and starts trying to figure out exactly who he could be dating. Of course, we all know who Ray spends most of his time with.

Also? Fraser spends a lot of time being *really* focused on curling.

I've been reading a lot of long, angsty epics, so this was a real treat. Fraser and Ray are wonderfully in character, Ray's parents are awesome beyond words, and the entire plotline is so cute I want to just cuddle it to death. Plus you have humor and Diefenbaker being, well, Diefenbaker. Highly recommended for anyone who is in need of a mood lifter.

Wow, talk about a mood lifter! But I should let you know that Kass is kassrachel (website is here), and Alanna is bayleaf.

Thank you! I tried to find working links for them, but there are several Kasses out there (and probably only one Alanna, but I didn't know where to start with her). I'll get this post edited right away:)

I've been feeling a bit guilty about how neglected Due South has been lately (what with my piles of Sentinel and Harry Potter recs) so I was really happy to get a chance to post an extra rec this week. Now if I could only find some Fraser/Vecchio fic worth reccing...

I think the problem with finding Fraser/Vecchio fic these days is that the majority of authors have moved on, either to other fandoms or just moved on from fandom entirely so all the stories have disappeared. I still wish that I could find "A Crime of Passion" by Mitch Hudson, my absolutely favorite F/V fic, online but now it can only be found in a zine that is, more often than not, sold out. I have a copy but...well, I want more people to have it too.

Ooo, do you have a scanner? Not that I'd put it online without the author's permission (so I couldn't rec it), but I'd *really* love to read a good F/V fic (especially one that doesn't waste a lot of energy dissing Kowalski.)

The subject of Kowalski actually never comes up, especially in the story mentioned above since it's an entire re-write of season three. I will warn that it deals with a lot of issues, namely homophobia in the police force (not directly related to Fraser and Vecchio) and alcoholism but does so with taste and tact.

If you're still interested, I'd be happy to scan and send it to you. :)

Homophobia is a big squick for me, but I'm willing to risk it for F/V (you can't imagine how frustrated I've been trying to find good F/V fics:) Thank you!
