As Class Historian, Antonia is determined to make the best high school documentary that anyone has ever seen, but the first few weeks of school bring to light more than expected when a freshman girl goes missing, the new kid Dean takes an interest, and old traumas may be the key to the present.

This is an intense mystery, told from the point of view of original female character, Antonia. There are multiple mysteries in this story: things Antonia knows, but hides from herself and the reader; the identity of the kidnapper, what has happened to the missing kids, and how this relates to Antonia; and things the reader knows that Antonia doesn't, like what's with that transfer student Dean and why does he keep asking her questions. The OFC doesn't know she's in a Supernatural mystery, but we sure do and it's fascinating to watch teen versions of Dean and Sam investigating from her rich POV.

The story is interspersed with fragments of the interviews Antonia conducts with her fellow classmates. I didn't like this at first, but it really grew on me as you meet the characters interviewed. Each one as a very different voice and perspective, and it really enhances the story.

Make sure to read the warnings, though. The story gets pretty intense at times.
