Summary: After the incident at the pool, Mycroft Holmes decides that drastic measures are needed to protect his brother from James Moriarty. He calls on the one man he knows he can trust completely. Sherlock (BBC) and Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy 2011 crossover. AU: It's 2011, but the Cold War hasn't ended. Smiley's factotum, Fawn, is a woman.

There is not a lot of fanfiction in the Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy fandom, but atropabelladonna1120's story about a mondern day Cold War spy game that combines the incredible characters of "The Circus" and the Holmes brothers, is a gem that must not be missed. The setting is interesting, and the plot keeps the reader on his/her toes to keep up with the twists and turns.

I love the pairing of Sherlock and Peter in this one. I would never ever have come up with this one myself and the fact that Benedict Cumberbatch plays both characters is actually rather amusing. It speaks of his incredible versatility if I say that not once does putting these two characters next to each other seem odd or confusing.

I urge everyone who loves spy stories, Sherlock Holmes mysteries and lots of drama, to go and read this amazing piece of fanfiction.

OMG, a TTSP/Sherlock crossover!!! Squee! Can't wait to check it out. :D

(Sounds like it's a completed fic, but the author's summary includes the term "WIP"? If so, maybe the term should be left out of the rec to avoid confusion?)

Thanks! I completely missed the WIP in the author's summary. The story is complete and I corrected the post.
